NJCAA Announces 2026 to 2029 Men’s Volleyball Championship Host Sites
Charlotte, NC – The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has announced the Men's Volleyball National Championship to be hosted at College of DuPage in 2026 and 2028 and at Finger Lakes Community College in 2027 and 2029. Both institutions have hosted the invitational since the inception of Men's Volleyball at the NJCAA level. The 2026 championship is the first year Men's Volleyball will operate as a National Championship after having been in invitational for the last several years. College of DuPage won the 2025 Men's Volleyball Invitational. The board approved Men's Volleyball to become a championship sport this past June. The championship will feature an eight-team double elimination bracket, including four automatic qualifiers and four at-larges to be selected by the Men's Volleyball Committee.
"College of DuPage is thrilled to host the first ever NJCAA Men's Volleyball national championship! We pride ourselves on running championship level events, we sincerely appreciate the NJCAA's trust with their continued support of allowing us to host. We are excited and grateful for the opportunity" stated Ryan Kaiser, College of DuPage Director of Athletics.
The Men's Volleyball National Championship will take place April 23-25, 2026, and April 27-29, 2028, at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL on the Klaas Court at the Physical Education Center. The 2027 and 2029 Championship will be held on April 22-24, 2027, and April 26-28, 2029, at the Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua, NY.
Finger Lakes Community College Director of Athletics Samantha Baccacino stated "Hosting the NJCAA Men's Volleyball Championship is an exciting honor for Finger Lakes Community College. "The NJCAA Men's Volleyball Committee is excited that the College of DuPage and Finger Lakes Community College will host the men's volleyball championship events in the upcoming years. Both colleges previously hosted the NJCAA Men's Volleyball National Invitational during the sport's emerging status and organized top-quality tournaments. The committee is confident that the student-athletes qualifying for the NJCAA Men's Volleyball National Tournaments at the College of DuPage in 2026 and 2028, and at Finger Lakes Community College in 2027 and 2029, will enjoy an outstanding championship experience at these venues. We look forward to the lasting memories our student-athletes will create in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and Canandaigua, New York, as they compete for a national title" stated Kurt Kohler, Men's Volleyball Chair.
