NJCAA Men's Soccer weekend preview
Charlotte, NC - With the 2021 NJCAA Men's Soccer season underway, three divisions of ranked matchups will occur this weekend as teams compete on the pitch in hopes of remaining at the top of next week's polls.
Division I
No. 11 Barton (KS) will battle two of the nation's top three teams, facing off against No. 3 Iowa Lakes on Friday and No. 2 Iowa Western on Saturday, August 28.
After playing a limited number of games last season, No. 13 Monroe (NY) opens its season against defending national champion Salt Lake (UT) and will follow with a matchup against No. 20 Monroe CC.

Division II
After reaching the quarterfinal round of the national tournament last season, No. 3 Pima (AZ) will face Region 1 foe, No. 12 Phoenix (AZ), in its season opener on Saturday, August 28.
No. 10 Morton (IL) begins the season in hopes of earning a third consecutive championship appearance and will travel to Michigan to take on ninth-ranked Muskegon.

Division III
Defending national champion and preseason favorite Dallas-Richland (TX), faced off with Division I No. 5 Coastal Bend (TX) last weekend, concluding the contest with a 3-3 tie. The Thunderducks gear up to face Division I receiving votes Otero (CO) on Friday, August 27.
No. 4 Mohawk Valley (NY) will play its first game of the season on Saturday, August 28 against Finger Lakes (NY). The Hawks were a semifinalist in the national tournament last season.
