DII Men's Basketball Championship in Danville
Charlotte, NC – The NJCAA has awarded Danville Area Community College its host site for the 2026, 2027, and 2028 NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championships.
Danville Area will host the 20-team championship at the Mary Miller Center in Danville, IL, from March 16-21, 2026, March 15-20, 2027, and March 20-25, 2028.
"Danville Area Community College, our Board of Trustees, and the entire Danville community are thrilled to learn that the NJCAA has once again awarded the Division II Men's Basketball National Championship to Danville," said Brian Hensgen, Danville Area Assistant Vice President. "Our leadership committee, our businesses, and our team of volunteers look forward to the expanded field of 20 teams, an exciting week of basketball action, and to crowning the next five National Champions in Danville."
The 2024 national tournament will mark the 31st year the DII Men's Basketball Championship has been held in Danville, IL. The event will also mark the first year of the tournament expanding to a 20-team field that will be made up of 16 automatic qualifiers and four at-large selections.
