Western Oklahoma State’s Jeylem Sepulveda Named NJCAA Division II Baseball Pitcher of the Year
Charlotte, NC – Western Oklahoma State's sophomore right-handed pitcher Jeylem Sepulveda has been named the NJCAA Division II Baseball Picher of the Year after delivering a dominant performance on the mound in his sophomore campaign.
In eight starts, Sepulveda compiled a 10-2 record while posting a 2.71 ERA across 69.2 innings pitched. He struck out 122 batters, averaging an outstanding 15.76 strikeouts per nine innings. Opposing hitters managed just 42 hits against him all season while he only allowed five home runs. His ability to limit damage resulted in a 1.12 WHIP.

Jaylem sees the good in everyone around him and does an outstanding job of helping others see it as well. He is extremely unselfish, highly motivated, and leads by example. We have been very fortunate to have him as part of our program" said head coach Kurt Russell.
Jaylem has signed with Louisiana Tech, where he will have the opportunity to both pitch and hit. In addition, Jaylem is receiving significant attention from scouts for the upcoming 2026 MLB Draft.
